The Leadership Foundaiton is pleased to launch a new initiative - Diversity in the Media! 

The media is the main source of information within all societies, the arena where we learn, confirm our beliefs and stereotypes and gain new information. There is a need for a the development of operational strategies, with concrete goals and action plans to ensure diversity is enhanced in the media. Strategies based on goals with a quantitative (representation) and qualitative (portrayal) perspective.

We welcome you to start a dialogue with us, on Diversity in the Media - March 31st from 12-16 in Oslo, Norway!

12:15 – 12:40 - Presentation of the study & initiatives from Media 4 diversity (Milica Pesic, Media Diversity Institute, London).
12:40 - 13:10 - Media, Intercultural dialogue and Antidiscrimination ; perspectives from the Council of Europe campaign. (Reynald Blion, Media and Diversity Manager, Council of Europe).

Part 2 - BACKGROUND

Part 3 – THE SCANDINAVIAN CONTEXT

15:30 – 16:00 – The Swedish experience- Quick response media monitoring (Arash Mokhtari, Quick Response, Sweden)
