Goal of Project:The main problem that we focused on was to develop and spread information on the connection between an organizations social responsibility and diversity management. Our experience shows that there are very few organizations that see the connection between and increase in diversity connects with social responsibility and that many see diversity as a potential loss in productivity. |

New Nordic Art in Stockholm! |
Leadership Foundation is proud to present five prominent immigrant artists living in the Nordic region will have their artwork presented at the second New Nordic Art Exhibition in 2010 at BERNS SALONGER IN STOCKHOLM SWEDEN! Vernissage August 12th from 1600-1800.
• MARCUS BLEASDALE (British, lives in Norway) - photography • CHIKAKO HARADA (Japanese, lives in Finland) – photography and installation • LISA PACINI (American, lives in Norway) - sculpture • SASHA HUBER (Swiss/Haitian, lives in Finland) – mixed media • KHALED RAMADAN (Lebanon, Lives in Denmark) – video The exhibition will run from August 12 – 26, 2010 with a vernissage on August 12th at BERNS SALONGER from 16:00-18:00. Designed and implemented by the Leadership Foundation in collaboration with International Corporate Art, the exhibition features the work of expatriate artists residing in the Nordic countries. It highlights, through their installations, photographs and video, a new and emerging Nordic identity. |

Diversity Charter in Norway! |

Leadership Foundation in cooperation with Mangfold i Arbiedslivet launches the Diveristy Charter in Norway! The Diversity Charter will represent a fundamental commitment to appreciating differences and equality in organizations in the public and private sector in Norway. The Diversity Charter exists in France, Germany, Belgium, Italy and Spain and in several countries over 600 organisaitons have signed the Charter and commiteed to upholding a commitment to diversity. Supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Children, Equality and Social Inclusion, Leadership Foundation and Mangfold i Arbeidslivet will first adapt the Charter to the Norwgian context and lauch the Charter by end 2010. The importance and challenges of role models from a UK perspective |

It offers an intercultural perspective on positive roles models for young people from a UK and Norwegian perspective. The event was organised by the Leadership Foundation and supported by the British Council. The three central areas covered in the talk are: • Who are role models? • What is their importance? • What are some of the major challenges for role models in a multicultural society? |

Top 10 Rollemodel seminar ! |

Thursday, April 22 marked the annual ceremony of the Leadership Foundation’s Top 10 of 2009.Top 10 celebrates international talents that have expressed leadership or have played a leading role in the Norwegian workforce, society or culture. Hundreds of balloons and over 120 people filled Grev Wedels’ Hall at the Literaturhuset in Oslo in order to support the winners and listen to a number of inspirational speakers on the topic of role models.The ceremony opened with a musical performance by Omar Mohammed Omar Ahmed and a short introduction by Lisa Cooper, founder of the Leadership Foundation. “The Top 10 project is unique in promoting role models within the international community to society at large, ” said Cooper. “After several discussions with the expert jury, I had to really ask myself what it really means to be a role model. This year’s winners and speakers at the event are all examples of positive role models in Norway and abroad.” |
